Aix-en-Provence is a city in Southern France, about 19 miles north of Marseille. The city is situated on a sweeping plain that overlooks the picturesque Arc River. Aix is well-known as the "city of a thousand fountains, with its most notable being the 'Fountain of the Four Dolphins", designed by Jean-Claude Rambot.
